Regina Daniels’ husband, Ned Nwoko assists Actors Guild of Nigeria with N10m (Photo)

The amiable prince of the Niger-Delta made this pledge when President, Actors Guild of Nigeria, Mr. Ejezie Emeka Rollas paid him a courtesy visit requesting for assistance to enable the guild members visit Hollywood to tidy up the twining arrangements with Screen Actors Guild of America -SAG AFTRA and help contribute to the AGN Trust Fund, designed to take care of ailing actors who are presently incapacitated and out of jobs.

In his speech, Rollas said: “On behalf of the Board of Trustees and National Executives and members of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, we bring you warm tidings and felicitations on the successful marriage rites of your beloved wife and our strong member, Actors Guild of Nigeria was established over 15 years ago and it is the “Face of Nollywood” as our members are Branding Ambassadors who project the positive image of our dear country Nigeria to the world and champion the propagation of culture and tourism through our movies. With over two million members spread across 36 states in Nigeria, we are indeed the largest Actors Association in Africa. We would like to thank you for the positive influence you have had on the entertainment industry in Nigeria and support for youths’ empowerment. Our ultimate objective as a Guild is to deliver better professional and empowerment for our members, provide for their long-term welfare.

AGN Sets Up Committee For Historic Inauguration

The Actors Guild Of Nigeria (AGN) has set up a high powered five member committee to organize a befitting inauguration of the Executives following its recent elections in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

This is just as The National President of AGN, Mr Emeka Rollas, calls on the media to join hands and support his executive in its quest to actualise its laudable goals.

The inauguration follows a successful and peaceful election which enthroned key officers of the National Executive Committee, NEC, to run the affairs of the Guild for another three years,

The Inauguration committee is headed by the newly elected Vice President, South West, Actor, Femi Branch while other members include, screen diva, Monalisa Chinda Coker, the National PRO, Uche Elendu, Kemi Adekomi and Don Pedro Aganbi.

Spokesperson of the Guild and member of the Committee, Monalisa Chinda Coker, informed journalists that the committee is working assiduously to put up a spectacular inauguration show to prove the determination of the newly elected National Executives to take the Guild to the next level professionally and through corporate, diplomatic, and international partnerships.

Top on the agenda of the new National EXCO is welfare of members across all the state chapters, professional job opportunities and improved remunerations.

Also paramount on their plans are training for up and coming members and master classes for established actors as well as social integration amongst members.

Behold, the new Actors Guild of Nigeria EXCO

The general election of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) was recently held at the prestigious Le’meridien Hotel (Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort) at Uyo, capital of Akwa Ibom State.

More than 187 delegates gathered in the oil rich state from 22 states namely: Abia, Abuja, Adamawa, Anambra, Bauchi, Bayelsa, Benue, Cross River, Delta, Edo, Enugu, Ebonyi, Gombe, Imo, Kaduna, Kwara, Lagos, Nasarawa, Plateau, Taraba, Yobe and the host state, Akwa Ibom to elect their new national leaders.

 The result of the general election which was ably supervised by top actor Steve Eboh popularly known as Ajeboh and supported by Emma Ogugua among others was adjourned free and fair.

The following emerged members of the new executive committee of the AGN:

National President – Emeka Rollas Ejezie

Vice President North Central – Mohammed Kareem

Vice President North West – Wassh Waziri Hong

Vice President South East – Lolo Oby Kate Okafor

Vice President South West – David Babafemi Branch

Secretary General – Abubakar Sanusi

Assistant Secretary General – Chelsea Raphael Nwodo

Financial Secretary – Emeka Duru.

Treasurer – Maradona Mikevine Paul

Public Relations Officer – Coker Monalisa Chinda

Director of Guild Services – Anigbo Clement Cowboy.

Chief Whip – Adigizi Bala.
